Jeremy Linquist L.Ac., Dipl.Ac, MSTOM  (Clinic Owner)

Jeremy Linquist has been a licensed acupuncturist since 2008 after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from the prestigeous Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. He continuted his studies by completing the International TCM Training Program of Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture at the Chengdu University of TCM in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. He has treated patients at the UCSD Sports Medicine RIMAC Center, Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, Vietnam Veterans Stand-Down, San Diego’s Seniors’ Clinic, and San Diego Hospice. He previously had a thriving practice in Encinitas, CA which allowed him the experience with both the insurance aspect and business model of an acupuncture clinic. Most recently Jeremy opened Carolina Beach Community Acupuncture and the success of this business spurred the idea for MyCommunity Acupuncture.

During his four-year attendance at Pacific College, Jeremy served as Student Council President. He gained comprehensive and direct experience as an assistant to Matt Callison, L.Ac., a world-renowned sports acupuncturist and also for Karen Sulger, L.Ac. at the Acupuncture Continuum. His 3-year apprenticeship at the Acupuncture Continuum gave Jeremy experience treating orthopedic injuries, acute and chronic pain, male and female infertility, as well as a broad range of internal conditions.

Through his professional experience he feels that cost is the main prohibitive factor to health-care of all kinds. Acupuncture is an engaging conversation topic, and people are easily convinced that acupuncture can help them in some way. The main reason for lack of follow-through is cost. An initial treatment often costs $95-$130 (or more). Besides this, patients who do begin treatment often discontinue because of the price. Fortunately, acupuncture can be performed in a cost-effective manner and it is Jeremy's dream and passion to help change the way health-care is practiced in this country by making acupuncture more accessible to people in our local community. Jeremy's passion in treatment is the education of his patients. He believes that we all possess the tools to be as healthy as we like and it is his desire to educate each patient how to achieve their goals. From Pregnancy to Pediatrics, Pain to Orthopedic injuries, and Insomnia to Prevention, Jeremy will work with each patient to develop a treatment plan that suits each individuals needs.

Jeremy has served as the Past President, Vice President and Chapter Rep of the NCAAOM (North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). He also donates his time and expertise to a variety of community events and educational classes as well as being a Founding Board member of the Island Montessori School. In his free time Jeremy soaks up every moment with his wife Susie and his growing children Jackson and Ella.
